Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
Food Forest Plans designs food forests for properties around the world. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it and how you can control it.
What we collect
- Your first name and email address when you start the Food Forest Potential Scorecard.
- Your scorecard answers, such as your goals, growing area, sunlight, soil, water and location, and the scores we calculate from them.
- Details you send about your property, such as its location, measurements, existing plants and links to photos.
- Order, payment and booking details when you buy a design or book a consultation. Card and PayPal details are handled by the payment provider, not stored by us.
- Messages you send us through the contact form or by email.
How we use it
- To show and email you your results and recommended next step.
- To prepare your design, deliver your order and run your consultations.
- To send you relevant information about designing a food forest. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To understand how people use the site so we can improve it, and to measure and target our Facebook and Instagram ads.
Who processes your information
This website, its forms, our contact list, online payments and bookings run on Wix (Wix.com Ltd. and its group companies). Your information is stored on their systems and may be processed outside your country. Payments are handled by the payment provider you choose at checkout. We do not sell your information.
Information stored in your browser
While you complete the scorecard, your answers are saved in your own browser so you can pick up where you left off. Your results link also contains your answers (but not your name or the exact location of your property), so anyone you share it with can see them. When you open the link, your answers are kept in your browser and removed from the address bar.
Advertising and the Meta Pixel
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. This website uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta Platforms, Inc., which sets cookies in your browser. It tells Meta which pages you visit here and the steps you take, such as starting or finishing the scorecard, starting a checkout, buying a product or booking a call. We do not send Meta your name, email address or scorecard answers, not even in a scrambled (hashed) form. Meta may combine this with what it already knows about you to show you our ads, measure how well they work and find similar people. Meta handles this information under its own Privacy Policy.
If you visit from Europe or the UK, we ask first, and the Meta Pixel does not load unless you click Accept. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings.
You can control the ads you see in your Facebook ad settings, block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of interest-based ads through optout.aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (Europe).
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you at any time. Use our contact page and we will respond as soon as we can.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date above.
